Testing preview draft, under attorney review. Last updated: October 22, 2026. Welcome to Legal Friendly. These Terms are a plain-language agreement between you and Legal Friendly LLC (in formation) ("Legal Friendly", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using legalfriendly.com you agree to them. You must be 18 or older to create an account. Questions: info@legalfriendly.com. 1. What Legal Friendly is. Legal Friendly is organizational software that helps you gather, organize, preserve and understand your own case materials, keep dates straight, and share organized information with the people you choose, including your lawyer. 2. What Legal Friendly is not. We are not a law firm and we are not lawyers. We do not give legal advice, we do not represent you, and using Legal Friendly does not create an attorney-client relationship with us. We do not prepare court forms, file anything with a court, serve anyone, or contact anyone for you. Nothing here predicts or promises a result. Guides, checklists, Records check, summaries and AI suggestions are general, organizational information and may be incomplete or wrong. Court rules and deadlines differ by state, county and court and change over time. Always confirm every date and requirement with the court clerk or a licensed lawyer. A date marked unverified has not been confirmed. 3. You are in control of your case. You decide what to upload, what to share and with whom. You are responsible for meeting court deadlines, for the accuracy of what you enter, and for anything you file with a court or send to anyone. 4. Collect evidence lawfully. Only upload materials you have a legal right to have. Do not store anything you got by breaking into someone else's phone, email, social media, cloud or bank account, by tracking or secretly monitoring a person, or by recording a conversation where the law requires everyone's consent. These rules vary by state and are serious. If you're unsure, ask a lawyer before you collect it. We may remove material we believe was obtained unlawfully or is used to harass, threaten, stalk or contact another person. 5. Your content belongs to you. You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give us a limited permission to store, process, display and back up your content only to run Legal Friendly for you, including the summaries, packets and downloads you ask for. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train AI models ourselves. Legal Friendly runs on third-party hosting and AI providers, listed in our Privacy Policy, that process content under their own agreements. 6. Original files are preserved. We keep each original file unchanged and record a fingerprint (checksum) so you can show it wasn't altered. No one at a law firm can change or delete what you add. Whether a court accepts any record is up to the court. 7. Drafts are for your lawyer, not the court. Anything Legal Friendly helps you write or organize (your story, summaries, indexes, money snapshots and similar) is a draft for you and your lawyer to review. It is not a legal document and not a court filing, and exported copies say so. If you choose to use any of it in court, you do so on your own judgment and responsibility, and we strongly encourage you to have a lawyer review it first. If you don't have a lawyer, your court's self-help center or a legal aid office may help. 8. AI features. AI helpers are off unless you turn them on. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, even when it sounds confident. It is a draft for your review, not facts, not legal advice and not a legal conclusion. Check it against your originals and have a lawyer review anything important. You are responsible for how you use AI output. 9. Sharing and privilege. People you invite see only what you choose. Sharing with your own lawyer keeps your information confidential. Sharing case materials with anyone else (family, friends, a new partner) can affect attorney-client privilege and confidentiality. Think before you share, and ask your lawyer if you have one. 10. Law firms and their teams. When a firm uses Legal Friendly: - Firms must be verified before they can invite clients. The firm's administrator accepts these Terms and the firm sign-off for the firm. Each attorney and staff member confirms their own confidentiality obligations before getting access. - Clients own their cases. Firms can view what clients share, add their own notes, requests and files, and download what clients allow. Firms cannot change, move, re-date or delete anything a client adds. - The firm, not Legal Friendly, is responsible for its professional duties to its clients, including confidentiality, supervision of staff, its choice of tools, and the legal advice it gives. - A firm may bill Legal Friendly to client matters. How it does that, including any markup, is the firm's decision under its engagement agreement and its state's rules. Legal Friendly never sets, receives or shares in legal fees and pays nothing for referrals. - When an attorney's access ends in Legal Friendly, that doesn't by itself change who represents the client in court. - A separate firm agreement may add terms for firms. If it conflicts with these Terms, the firm agreement controls for that firm. 11. Attorney directory and links. Listings and links are for convenience. We do not endorse, certify or recommend any attorney or provider, and we don't rank them by results. Paid listings are clearly marked. We aren't responsible for what third parties do. 12. Third-party services. Legal Friendly relies on outside services (for example hosting, email, payments and AI). Their availability and terms are outside our control, and we aren't responsible for their acts or outages, though we choose them carefully and require them to protect your information. 13. Plans and billing. Every account, individual or firm, starts with a free 7-day trial, and no card is needed to start. Paid plans are billed through our payment processor at the price shown at checkout. Plans renew automatically each month on the day you signed up until you turn off auto-renew in Settings. Turn off auto-renew anytime. You keep full access through the end of the period you've paid for, and your case stays saved and downloadable for a year after. If a payment fails, you keep full access for 15 days while it's sorted out. During the testing preview, testers may have free access. 14. Your case after access ends. After access ends, your case stays saved and read-only for 365 days so you can download it. We email you 90, 30 and 7 days before deletion. We never delete your case without these notices. 15. Acceptable use. Do not use Legal Friendly to break the law, harm, harass or stalk anyone, upload malicious files, try to access other people's data or cases, pose as a lawyer or law firm, or misrepresent who you are. 16. Safety. If you are in danger, call 911. For emotional crisis in the U.S., call or text 988. Legal Friendly is not an emergency service. 17. Disclaimers. Legal Friendly is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. We are not responsible for missed deadlines, court decisions, or losses that come from relying on the service, its guides, summaries or AI output. 18. Limit of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to Legal Friendly is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. 19. Your responsibility to us. If someone makes a claim against us because of content you uploaded, how you collected it, how you used Legal Friendly or its output, or your breaking these Terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, to the extent the law allows. 20. Resolving disagreements. If you have a problem, email info@legalfriendly.com first; most issues can be solved within 30 days. If not, any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's consumer rules, except that either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court. Claims must be brought individually, not as part of a class or group action. You can opt out of arbitration by emailing info@legalfriendly.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. 21. Ending your account. You can stop using Legal Friendly at any time, and download or delete your case. We may suspend an account that breaks these Terms or puts others at risk. 22. Changes. If we change these Terms, we'll post the new version, update the date, and ask you to review it the next time you sign in. 23. General. These Terms are the whole agreement between us about Legal Friendly (along with our Privacy Policy and any firm agreement). If a part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may assign these Terms if Legal Friendly is reorganized or sold; you may not assign them without our consent. You agree to receive notices from us electronically. 24. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. 25. Contact. Legal Friendly LLC (in formation), info@legalfriendly.com.
